Do you have a shower puff you use in the shower? It feels good to scrub off all the grime from the day with one of those – but dermatologists are warning people to throw them out now! J. Matthew Knight owns the Knight Dermatology Institute and is urging people to toss out their puffs. According to Knight, the dead skin cells that are removed when you use the puff get stuck in all the layers of the puff’s material.
Then you put the puff back into the shower, and the moisture in the air after your shower can cause bacteria to grow and fester! And that all happens in just a matter of hours!
Now, you don’t want to rub bacteria all over your body – do you? What is worse is that if you use a puff after you shave, you could cause a skin infection in the nicks left by the razor.
